In his blog RYOSHI RESEARCH, he characterizes himself as “just some guy of no consequence tapping at a keyboard.” Ryoshi said that usually in projects there are different roles like a CEO, a “tech guy,” and a roadmap, resulting in “someone plebs can bitch at aviator game download.” He stresses that with Shiba, no one person is accountable or responsible and underlines that he owns 0 SHIB to this day. For this reason, Ryoshi can be “pure and unbiased,” getting satisfaction from Shiba “in other ways.”

This followed the launch of ShibaSwap’s burn portal in April 2022, which rewarded users for burning SHIB with burntSHIB tokens. This burntSHIB is used to get RYOSHI tokens, which can also be staked on ShibaSwap.
As of June 2022, around 549 trillion SHIB were in circulation. There were 1 quadrillion SHIB tokens in existence at launch, but 50% of that was sent to Vitalik Buterin, who burned most of it and donated the rest.
Although SHIB doesn’t have any firm utility as yet, the adoption of it as a currency has been seen in some areas similar to DOGE. However, it positions itself as a “Dogecoin Killer”, adopting a term given to several third-generation cryptocurrencies as “Ethereum Killers”.

The team calls Pi the first digital money for everyone, something you can “mine” right on your smartphone. They use a system based on the Stellar Consensus Protocol (SCP), tweaked into what they call Federated Byzantine Agreement (FBA), to keep things light on battery and easy for phones to handle. Pi Network wants to build a digital currency and app platform that its worldwide users run and keep safe, hoping this will make finance fairer and fix some of the clunkiness of regular money.
Even with its new ideas, Pi Network has been called a multi-level marketing setup by some, thanks to its referral program, and people have worried about how it handles personal data. Now that the Open Mainnet is up and running, the real worth and tradability of Pi coins are finally being put to the test; some platforms were even offering IOUs for Pi before it was fully connected.

Pi Network was founded by Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis and Dr. Chengdiao Fan, both of whom have PhDs from Stanford University and a passion for improving human lives through technology. Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis is a Stanford PhD in EE and postdoc in CS with research on distributed systems and human-computer interaction. His work focuses on combining distributed systems and human computer interaction to bring cryptocurrency to everyday people. As a strong and long-term believer of the technical, financial and social potential of cryptocurrencies, he is determined to move them beyond their current limitations and is committed to bringing the power of blockchain to more people.
The network is inspired by the Stellar Consensus Protocol (SCP) and operates without proof-of-work (PoW). Users, known as Pioneers, form security circles to verify transactions and contribute to network security.
